From the moment I met with our first photography client, I knew I wanted to do more for them. I wanted to connect them with the small businesses we knew and loved, that were a perfect fit for their needs. In that first case, it was handmade props for a newborn session, way back in the day when we did that sort of thing.
From there, it was the same with every client - I wanted my favorite hair and makeup folks to connect with our boudoir clients, and I wanted to tell wedding clients about a local soap-making company that made personalized mini-soaps for wedding favors. It's one of the biggest reasons that I dove into wedding and event planning, because there are so many different wonderful companies that come together to create a cohesive wedding. So many small businesses to work with and support. A community to create.
I found a new way to support small businesses through the clients who were supporting ours. This has become a mission that goes back to the core of our company, and the passion to share local businesses has grown with us. Now, that desire to tell others about favorite small businesses has taken a new form, and we are so excited to share it with you!
We'll be journaling about the weddings that highlight small businesses here, and we will also be sharing our travels and some of our favorite spots we discover along the way. Keep an eye out for other social media outlets where we'll be sharing as well.
